How-To Prevent Rotting Pumpkins, Gourds and Squash

It's Fall - which means decorating with various pumpkins, gourds and squash! Want your Fall decor to last beyond Thanksgiving through Halloween? Try this simple tip from the pro's to preserve your money!

BLEACH believe it or not, is the main trick in prevention of rot - and is most likely around your household.

1. Get a bucket and fill it half way with water (this dilutes the bleach), add three table spoons of bleach.

2. Soak and rinse a cloth, then rub the outside of your pumpkin, squash or gourd down.

3. Let dry,

4. Repeat if needed, every couple weeks.

We hope this helps - pumpkins can last months if preserved properly!
